Tonight is National Night Out. A time for neighbors to get together and show their solidarity in getting and keeping the criminal elements out of their neighborhoods. My wife and I are the Neighborhood Watch Coordinators for our area and we're putting on a big cookout. Lots of friends in attendance with visits from the local LEO's. IMO this is a good way to get to know your neighbors and establish those relationships that may come in handy in the event of a local SHTF situation, or even one that is more widespread.

Sorry monsoon season in WV & KY, can't get there from here. Now you will need someone else as a bad example. Hope you didn't advertise, B&E will go over the top in the neighborhood tonight.

We actually did this. We've had a rash of cars broken into and some yard stuff stolen. The police arrested 10 neighborhood kids. One cretin was 18 and the rest were underage. Funny but I never had anything stolen. Everyone knows I carry. Hmmm. I wonder.

A note to all you parents out there. Make your kid get a summer job! a 23 hour a day summer job. Then find something to fill in the time they aren't working. That will keep them out of trouble. Don't make me come over there and talk to 'em.

House breaks are up well over 100% compared to last year in our new town. 'Till they hit the wrong house. Way too much woodlands and open ocean here to put up with that crap. :sneaky2:

Both of you really should move to Kennesaw Ga. - Every citizen in town is required by law TO OWN A GUN. Lowest crime rate in US. I don't even know if they have a neighborhood crime watch...or even need one. To steal ya'lls line...."Just Saying"
