Hello all,
You may remember a post I made several weeks ago about a documentary film I'm developing about preparedness and self reliance for Channel 4 and my request to speak with preppers in the UK.
Well, I've reached the next stage and I'm embarking on a research 'road trip' this week, meeting with various contacts I've made all over the country. I wanted to put the word out in case anyone would like the opportunity to have an informal chat over a coffee/pint and hear first hand what we hope to achieve with the film.
Drop me a line if interested...

Good luck Amy. When you're done with the project can you provide us a link so that we can watch it?

Yep, good luck, let us know when the programme is finished.
There have been a few programmes made on this subject and the ones I've seen have tended to make the participants look foolish at best, dangerous at worst so please treat the subjct with respect, we're not all Burt Gummers!

I'll certainly let you know when it's airing in the UK (no idea now when that will be, cause we haven't shot anything yet!) Not sure if people outside the UK can access 4 on demand (Channel 4's online service), but it may end up on YouTube at a later date.

Just remember not to be in such a hurry, to get where you are going, that you don't enjoy the trip. Sometimes, it's what's between point A and point B, that is the really good stuff!
