I ran across some camping recipes in an ebook preview and some were interesting so I thought I'd post them here. I haven't tried any of them, though.

The root beer recipe brings back some memories. Our family used to spend our summers in Nova Scotia at my mom's parents. My Great Aunt had a little eatery on the beach called Gladys Canteen. Fresh homemade rootbeer made daily. As a kid I probably didn't appreciate how good the food really was - all fresh made and baked. Some years later a friend sent me an article - Gladys Canteen was voted one of the ten best places to eat in Canada.

That's the place. I probably had a burger or hot dog. Mom always had lobster something. All had homemade root beer and one of her fresh pies. Very fond memories. Thanks for the links.

Actually, thank you! You mentioned "lobster something" - now I know what I'll be having for dinner. :)

Venus De Milo's?

Not tonight. Can't do two of those in the same week. :) Just a lobster roll - lobster and a bit of mayo on a grilled bun.
