We just had some nasty thunderstorms blow through the area for the last two hours. Got about three inches of rain in that time with winds up around 65 mph and lots of lightning strikes nearby. Here's the sky after the storm.

Red sky at night. Glad you waded the water okay.

we had those a couple nights back. My friend 6 miles away was getting drowned and her yard was flooded. We barely got a sprinkle. Even just a block down the road it was raining real good.

Well, hope everyone is ok. Beautiful pic too!

We just got dumped on this evening. I haven't checked the guage, but I'd guess we got about an inch in about an hour. That's a lot for Colorado. Lots of lightning, too.

Last week's storm damage estimates are in: $350 million in hail, water and wind damage! Mostly damaged roofs and cars, but also a fair number of broken windows. It's the second most costly thunderstorm in Denver history.

Looks more like a pink sky to me. Where's Cowboy?

Some guy knocked on my front door last week.

"I'm inspecting roofs for damage from the storm. The inspection is free."

"What storm?" I asked.

"Why, the hail storm."

"We didn't have one."

"Oh, sure. Two weeks ago."

"That was 10 miles south of here. We didn't have hail. I don't need your services. Choi!"

Nonetheless, six signs have gone up in the neighborhood from this guy of folks having their roof replaced. I asked one if insurance is paying for it. "You bet", he said. "My insurance guy took one look at the roof and said get it replaced."

Sort of boggles the mind.

I'm sure that your roof has all sorts of hidden damage. Hail can bounce several miles from what I hear.

Get a new roof! Just make sure that the contractor (the guy doing the "free inspections") has insurance for all those roofing nails that will be puncturing all of your tires.

Maybe you can even get a pink roof! Like this one:
