So... I have been informed I am getting laid off in the not too distant future... Bummer right? It might be a great thing though. I found another job in IT and it's really cool! It's the IT manager for an Observatory up on a mountain. I interviewed well, and know people there that can vouch for me. Today I was informed I'm on the "short list"!!!

So the new job would be 60 miles from my house and a 6500' climb up the mountain, but comes with a home on top, and all the deer and turkeys I can catch. I think I just got the most awesome bugout location ever. It's on several hundred acres of forest, all the building sites are fenced and have razor wire on top, The whole place is surrounded by National Forest, and comes with back up power and a 100,000 gallon water tank...

Wish me luck as this could really be the job of a lifetime!

Good news often comes disguised in bad news. My mom always said when one door closes another opens. I wish you the best when the short list is pared down I hope you are on the one and only list. Good luck! Sounds like a cool job.
