Owners gun protects home without the owner! priceless! It was the homeowners .357 that the theif was shot with as his partner in crime went to hand it to him. The police had a nice bloodtrail for the dogs. All 3 are now in custody.

They deserved that. In New Jersey, the home owner would be sued for negligence or some other silly thing for allowing the bad guys access to a loaded weapon without proper safety instruction.

Broken door: $870
Stolen SP101: $394
Getting your calf blown off because you and the guys you are with are more stupid than horse turds: Priceless.

You guys are HAPPY about this? I, for one, think that this was a travesty.

Here we have a young thief shot in the leg with a Ruger .357, suffering a painful injury. However, the thief "was treated and released."

And I blame the gun owner. Why?

"The handgun was loaded with .38-caliber bullets, the victim told the sheriff's office."

If that gun owner had been RESPONSIBLE, the gun would have been loaded with .357 magnum 180 grain semi-jacketed hollow points. Then let's see who only gets "treated and released." :sneaky2:

"Another Sumter County sheriff's officer arrived with a K9 police dog. At that point, the males, ages 15 and 16, surrendered.

To bad it didn't take them all out.
I have to agree with Ken that the home owner was negligent for not having maximum fire power and effectiveness :smash:
