Just thought I'd share this with you, whether you have a small garden, homestead or whatever it's got just about everything.
For those who are interested in living off grid, it's a great starting point.
I've had a copy for years and refer to it a lot. It's also very well written and a general good read.
There's also information on preserving and storing produce and meat in the pre-freezer way.

For those that are interested in the book but not spending that kind of money, you can download it free as an eBook. The catch is it is rather large (25MB) and you download it in .rar format so you have to have a reader that will open it. Otherwise, it's the full book. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7LRNME7P

It did strike me as a bit expensive Rick, but it was a link to the book. Glad you found a better link, this really is a fantastic book.

Haven't looked at the new version, MM, I just love that edition, it's been a good friend over the years. It a very dog-eared copy now!
Mr Seymour is the only man I know of who would give instructions on making soap from lion fat! He's a wonderfully unPC person!

Yep, so is ours.

We have well over 50 books on this and similar subjects and this one as well as 2 or 3 others are the one constantly being referenced.

A similar book that I got from TSC(Tractor Supply comp.) is "Country Wisdom & know-how / Everything you need to know to live off the Land". Thought I'd throw this in for those in Rural areas that are as Impatient as I to read this sort of stuff. Funny I can lie in wait while hunting for hours, but get impatient to read something.:confused1:

That is one of the other ones always out, and tons of pages marked.
