wolf packers? wolf packistines? wolf packinians? anyhoo....

I have to go back out and brave the wilds and the cold to try and get me some moose meat. (Yes, WE, don't let Norm read this, it involves the death of a moose! I can just imagine Norm lookin' over your shoulder and crying "Cannibals!")

So if'n I don't get one this weekend, the season's closed until December, that makes for pretty cold hunting weather in Manitoba.

norm is my moose that i have hand raised, most of you new folks missed that conversation a few months ago. i help run a wildlife centre and i specialize in moose and bear cubs. don't worry trax norm has been released into a protected area but one can never control the wanderings of the young especially if the older bulls push him out, anyhow stay warm and safe..

it's more of a hobby than a job i do all of it volunteer just an incredible way to get to know a species of animal, and contrary to what most think i am not against hunting i know the value of keeping the populations in check and food on the table, heck i would even have moose steaks before going to do my nights with my critters which my wife said was hipacritical but i can live with it

always be prepared......

Welcome back trax. Don't feel bad...even coyotes chasing deer only takes down about 20 percent of them.

Oh, no worries, I don't feel bad. My success rates a little better than coyotes chasing deer too, of course I don't have to run them down and drag them down with my teeth either......:D:D
