Hey everybody. I'm really really wanting to build a forge. I've got some old water tanks, and I am considering using the bottom of one, for my forge. I've got some steel pipe, and plan on cutting holes in the pipe to supply my fuel (probably charcoal) with air. Does this seem to satisfy the description of a forge? Do I need to add anything? I'll post pics as I go, but can sombody else post pics of their (homemade or not) forge? That'd be a great help. Thanks

I'm still learning and not happy with the one that I made (yet). Rick posted a few links to homemade (gas) forges. Rebel made one out of a WOK, and this morning there were a few pics of one made from a bbq grill. Lots of forge info here, but sounds like you're on the right track.
Or at least forging ahead.

I am building mine now. Just started, I will post some pics soon. It is comprised of a hair dryer, 2" iron pipe, a steel cart, and a brake disk. Let me get busy!
