I know most of you are DIY'ers and I've learned lots from you so I thought I'd pass this along.
I have made a bunch of these 25' & 50' and they are awesome! I've always had rope/cord turn into a tangled mess when I've carried it in packs or the trunk of my cars. Not anymore with this!!
I might make some and sell them seeing as how the bracelet market is cornered
Maybe call them survival frisbees.
Here is the link and I hope it works: (about halfway down the page)

Must be a b!tch getting it unwound when you need it fast.

Not at all. I could unwind a 50 footer in about 5 seconds. That's the cool thing about this. Doesn't take up a lot of room and you just pull as much or little as you need, cut it and the rest stays neatly bundled.

Looks like it's just a series of slip knots. Should come untied quickly. Kind of slick. Thanks for the idea.
Holy moly. What a lot of work. It does look nice but you invest a lot of time. Try this. It's a whole lot quicker and easier.

I can tie any knot or make any rope splice I need. Braiding is another issue. However, I will try this the next time I feel like getting REALLY frustrated. :innocent:

This is cool. I am going to do this today. ;)
I like the one rckcrwler posted and if you have some time on your hands it would be a great way to store some cord. But when you're packing up camp you look for easy peasy stuff.

Ten four on that, I definitely wouldn't do this while packing up camp. More than likely you probably would only pull a few feet off at a time and that would end up getting tossed in with the rest of the gear when packing up. I just like how it stays neat and tangle free. (Have to wait to get home and check the video you linked to, can't see it at work. )

Very cool, thanks for sharing! I tried this about four or five times last night and liked it. :)
It's just a quick and dirty way to roll up a bunch of cord quickly and ensure it's not a tangled mess the next time you use it. I thought that vid would be a lot easier than trying to 'Splain it.
