I've been looking for a survival/ self reliant living group. I found this website and it sounds like a good idea so I thought I'd give it a try. I live in southern Indiana, so if anyone knows of a group in this area, please let me know. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I've been interested in wilderness survival and self reliant living for a good while and have finally decided to look into it further. I'm hoping to learn more from this forum. Thanks. Pnut

Welcome to the Wolf-Pack, we have at least two members that I can recall from Indiana. Why not go to the thread: "Attn. Wolf-Pack", and share what got you interested in survival in the 1st place?;);)

Sorry I haven't replied sooner Wolfpack. I work alot of hours. I'm a country boy, and as such, I've always been interested in hunting, fishing and the outdoors in general. I've been interested in wilderness survival and self-reliant living for many years, and being single again, decided it was the right time to really get into it.

I live in Perry County, about an hour west of louisville. Do you know of any survival or self-reliant living get togethers or groups in this area?

pnut as far as I know there are about 4-5 wilderness survival schools in Indiana. One is at Lafayette and 2 in the northern part of the state. The nearest one to you there in Perry County would be the Owl Creek Program in Bloomington. Here is the addy if you want to check it out: www.owlcreekprograms.com

Welcome pnut.As nell67 pointed out,I think there are 4 of us(counting you)who post here that are from southern Indiana.I'm 27 miles north of Louisville, here in Washington county.
I was discussing your area with a friend this past weekend. He mentioned that if he could live anywhere in Indiana in would be Brown county,I chose anywhere in the Hoosier National Forest.Correct me if I'm wrong,I think Perry county holds the State record Whitetail.
