View Full Version : Deadfall Triggers
I came across some deadfall triggers I've never seen before. They use something called Tumble Rocks. Looks like they are pretty easy to set up.

Thanks for the post Rick, I have never seen those before either. They make sense though don't they.

New to me. I saw one that might work, but I tried them in my younger days and gave up. I never had any luck with deadfalls so I haven't used anything but snares. I may try these on some chipmunks that are getting too thick around the house and see what happens.

Rick, those look pretty eficient. They are extremely sensitive and those first two and the last one are very hard to balance, at lest for me they are.

even though those look like they would work great, I think the paiute and figure four are the only deadfalls that you really need to know.

Those are from the book "camping and wilderness survival 1st edition" by Paul Tawrell. I think a Paiute would be great if you have some sort of cord but these would be way easier than a figure four if cordage was not available.
