I have a SPOT GPS Tracker. I don't expect I'll ever need, but it's great insurance, just in case..........

I carry a Garmin but don't turn it on. There is a large beech tree by a creek about 10 miles in the boonies I have marked and saved. If I happen to get slightly confused way out, like 50 miles I turn it on to go back and use it to get to a place I know. I have an adapter to plug into the ATV but don't use it or extra batteries because it eats those AAA like everything.
