What do you know from measuring the width of the front paw imprint of a bear....? And what parts of your body can you use to do this....?

I'm torn on this one but I'll say age. I'm not sure on the measure.

not sure on all, but for black bear ad and inch (my uncle adds 2) and this will give you a rough idea of the square measure of the dressed hide

Your Uncle is "WRONG" (I hope he is not big and mean) You are correct ad 1" to the width will give you the size of the bear, and therefor the rough age.
