I am now an Ordained Minister in the First Nations Church, and can perform weddings recognized by both state and federal law. My first ceremony is August 12th. I am combining river trips with weddings, marrying people at a sacred site on an island in the middle of the Yellowstone River. We row and paddle people to the wedding site, then paddle the bride and groom off to their hooneymoon as wedding goers shower them with bird seed!
Pretty wacky!
I'm not certain if congratulations are in order or just pass the bong. Anyway, congrats.
Now don't go getting upset if we start calling you "Reverend" instead of "Dogman." :innocent:

Congratulation Dogman, I mean Padre.
The Reverend Right Honorable Father Jason. Nice ring to it.
After reading many of Jasons posts, I think he'd rather be called "Father In." :innocent:

by the way in Alaska, to be called a "dogman" from Inuit or Athabaskans is a great compliment of the highest regards
You have to come up with some new wedding verse. "Dearly beloved" is sort of old and has been done to death. Go with "wild spirits of the universe of mankind" or something spiffy like that.

you mean "spliffy"
whatever, dude. Where's the bong?
you mean "spliffy"
No, he means "spiffy." And he's probably trying to figure out just what a spliff is. He would have gotten it quicker if you had said "Reefery" or "Jointy."
whatever, dude. Where's the bong?
Hmmmmm. Maybe not so old after all........ :innocent:
Next thing you know, he'll be a Bishop........ :innocent:
I'll PM you Jason. I'd like to be an Arch Bishop or Arch Villain. Whichever position they have open.

Congrats Jason. Since you now will be performing this service that will unite two kindred spirits it is important that they are compatible and that they will stay together. Some folks attend classes before getting married. I think a more effective path would be for you to put them through a training program much like you do for your dogs. The work may be difficult, the food may be a bit unusual, but the teamwork will be invaluable. Besides when they say Mush.....oh nevermind.
