Well the gun show was a let down, over priced and over crowded, cheapest XD 45 I found at the show was 649.00, rock island 45 1911 were 429.00.
There was one dealer here that had AR 15's from 699.00 to 1299.00 .
I did find some decent priced gear, blast match for 12.50, found some MRE's for 3.00 ( then found out there vegetarian) but I bought 10 anyway.
The wife was drawen to deranges, that was about all that caught her eye today, I showed her a few revolvers but her interest was toward deranges

I don't even go to gun shows anymore as they are way overpriced. If I want a specific gun, there are a few boards I can visit and put in requests.

After looking at gun shows in my area I decided that if I was going to buy a gun I'll pay retail. To be honest the guns there were $50 - $100 less than retail. I can go to pawn shops and get most of those for less than gun show prices.

If I decided to get one from a show, it was because it was military grade, or I wanted to stay off the books.

I went to the local gander mountain and it was very hard to pass a 20 gauge single shot for 59 bucks. I think it was a rossi. I left promptly.

I'm the same way. I have the shows marked on a calendar but my interest was waned. Guns shows used to be interesting with some good prices. Today, they are just a way to attract the hordes and have them pay top dollar. Not for me anymore.

I thought there would of been a lot of non-dealers, but nope I only found 2 and one had nothing but black powder and ammo, the other was looking to get rich .

all in all I did learn that i can go to auction arms, gun broker, or gunsamerica, and pay a little less with shipping and transfer . BTW if anyone here lives in or near ft worth Texas, the pawn shop in benbrook only charges 10.00 for transfers.

I too went to a gun show this past week end. Here we have two different "providers" that put on at least four shows a year in town, but run a circuit so that if you want to drive a bit there are lots of opportunities. This weekend was the one put on by "Cliffhangers". Most of the vendors attending are focusing on military memorabilia. There are some large vendors there as well. All in all about 300 vendors (estimate). There were some good deals, and like any trade show there were some rip-offs. The other provider - "Southern Gun & Knife" puts on (IMO) a bigger and better show.

this show was the Largest gun show in my area, I'm going to guess there were close to a 1000 vendors there.
There is another one coming up in July thats a small show maybe 2 or 3 hundred vendors, the smaller one has a lot more private sellers and a lot more parts for stuff other than military or ar15's.
