My Sweetie has never asked about why I carry my SAK, but that there altoid tin is another issue. Last evening, we were at her daughters' annual dance recital, and behold - a strategically placed button popped off my Honey's new blouse. The thread was just hanging there and all.......
So, I ask, "Why not just go into the ladies room and sew it back on?"
And she says, "I didn't bring my sewing basket."
And I ask, "How much is one worth to you?" :innocent:
And she just stares at me.
So I reach in my pocket and pull out my SAK with the scissors, and then pull out the Altoids tin and rummage through it for a few seconds 'till I find the sewing needle stuck through a piece of business card wrapped in white thread (same color as her blouse, fortunately) and then I smile back at her real smug-like........
