I've looked at the link (not the book). Mitch posted a while ago about cheap electic from wind generation in a DIY link. I'll see if I can find it.

I have a client who powers his whole house (with Central Air) for about $50.00 per month. Amazing what that guy can do to an electric meter just by drilling a small hole and inserting a WD40 tube inside. :innocent:
I'm sure he'll get caught someday. Then we'll both get paid. Me and the electric company, that is.

I am most interested in the solar deal, although the wind generator is a great thing to have in conjunction. It's always breezy here. I just don't want to spend 50 bucks and find out it's a scam.

This may give you some ideas. http://www.homepower.com/home/
They have a dandy steel collar they put around the meter once they find it has been tampered with. The second time around the law shows up. My brother-in-law is a residential lineman for a power company and he's told sooooo many stories of folks doing those kinds of things.
