Well I took some time off and have found that I miss the forum considerately. It's been about a month now and this is the first time I've checked in. I heard from a couple of friends that my last post, saying goodbye, got some interesting comments - so I checked it out.
First off, almost all of my parting comments were deleted by Rick. I believe he thought the comments were all quotes from a private conversation between Chris and me. It actually only contained a small paraphrase of what I spoke to Chris about. The rest was a thanks for a good time over the past year and that I was just not up to reading endless threads that were regularly off the subject do to bickering.
I've been an active part of this forum for over a year and have never posted a negative comment toward anyone. But, after checking out my last thread I found more than a few spiteful comments. I find this a bit funny as I received many positive comments from most of the long time regulars. I also received many emails that were very encouraging and is the reason I decided to check back in. For the few of you that seem to be amused by my leaving, I hope you were just bored and had nothing of value to contribute to the forum at the time. PS, It was primarily only one person that I got tired of.
Well anyway as many of you told me in your messages, I gave it some time and I decided that the forum means a lot to me. I will check in again on a regular basis.
I want everyone to know that the number of forum members that contacted me was unbelievable. The friendships that this forum has created for me are some of the best. I contribute to no other forum, I've enjoyed my time here tremendously.

Hey! I'm so glad to see you back! Don't worry about leaving as many of us, including me, have done that at one time or another! What you bring to this forum is of a lot more importance than any other stuff. BTW, if you ever have any issues with me please PM me about them & if we can't solve it then I'll knock it off; that's how important you being here is to me! Also, here is a thread I started awhile back with a link that shows the importance of what you bring to this site:

Glad you've decided to come back. Besides - you've gotta attend the Indiana gathering in August.

pgvoutdoors,
I don't know you well, as I am one of the newbies to the forum, but it is obvious that your input is very valued here. I hope to learn much from you in the future and am glad that you reconsidered leaving. Sometimes we all just need to take a step back from what is buggin' us (I regularly take this approach with regard to my husband and occassionally with my kids too).

Welcome Back!!!
I am glad that you have decided to re-participate in the forum.
I'm glad you decided to stop back in. If I deleted more than the PM between you and Chris, Mea Culpa. That was certainly not my intent. In any case, I'm glad you're back. You contribute a lot.

hey phil glad you reconsidered, nice to have your insight and experience back here.
I have no intentions to "win friends" nor to influence people in that way.
My friends are not "won". They are my friends because they have decided so without any manipulations or pressure, without effort.
I would never read a book with that title...so here is a recommendation for you...
http://www.amazon.com/Freedom-Known-Jiddu-Krishnamurti/dp/0060648082/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1243803478&sr=1-1
Well, I'm just thinking that there's never a good reason to post a snide remark about anyone who isn't looking for trouble themselves. That is, unless the one posting the snide remark is just looking to stir up a little sh*t. Is that what you're trying to do?
From the summary posted about the book you recommend, it's probably just intellectual gibberish. Is Jiddu Krishnamurti your "nom de plume"?

Remember that profanity is a no-no, so if you feel tempted to use the "BS" word at all, please substitute the phrase: "Male cow feces" instead; thank you for your compliance. :cool2:
BTW, i was going to recommend "Green eggs & Ham", after all, it is written by a Doctor. :innocent::winkiss::sneaky2::cool2:

Lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!
In what universe is saying "i'll keep my mouth shut" a "snide remark" ?
Now..."intellectual gibberish"... that's a snide remark !
I wrote what i wrote as a joke pertaining to the dynamic between the OP and his view on going off subject...which we have succeeded in doing thanks to your tendency to read my posts without your glasses...
C'mon, Remy! We're all fairly intelligent people here. We can read between the lines of your first post in this thread. It's called "sh*t stirring."
As far as my comment that Jiddu Krishnamurti's book appears to be "intellectual gibberish" - how is THAT a snide remark? Does HE post on the Forums? :innocent:
