If I remember correctly, this was introduced by Congressman Rush from Illinois. Last I heard it had no co-sponsers and was not being brought to the floor for discussion. He has introduced similar legislation over the years with similar results. It certainly bears watching, but on topics like this, although I know it is difficult, we need to leave the politics out of it.

Here is the actual document. This is just ONE MORE in a long line that continues to come down the pike.

Got an NRA email today. You name it, it's been introduced in congress and it ain't gonna stop. When I got my CCW renewed again on the first of the month my SS# was on it plus my first with my pic on it.

Mine, too. The cop would look at me then turn the picture over then look at me again. He finally just shrugged and handed it to me. The feds found some "irregularities" on my application I had to explain. For sex I put "occasionally". I'm getting older after all. For weight I put "no long than 30 minutes". That wasn't really true because after 15 I've already forgotten what I was waiting on and I usually just start the timer over. I figure I'll remember sooner or later. Under vision I put "not since the '60s". That raised an eyebrow or two. The one that really got 'em was the question, "Have you ever been convicted of a federal offense?" I put, "Define conviction." Turns out those guys have no sense of humor at all.
