I have a Nikon 10mp DSLR I bought last year with 1 - 55mm, 1 - 70-200mm telephoto, 1 - 35mm wide angle, 1 - 300-700mm Nikkor lens, and 2 - 16GB high speed compact flash cards for it.

I bought it off Ebay for $400 for everything and I love it!

I think one of the best cameras I've ever owned is the Canon Powershot A570 IS. I bought a 4gb card for it, too. It's fairly inexpensive at $250. It takes crisp, clear shots, has a ton of options and transfers pics to the computer with ease.

my canon powershot is one of my favorites too. its takes fast, crisp, clear pictures. and like you said it has a lot of options but is very user friendly.

I've been doing it since I was 8yrs old and found my granfathers Kodak Pocket 1A (I still have that camera) I have a full Olympus outfit (OM-1 and OM-2 bodies with assorted lenses and flashs)(This outfit has literally been around the world with me twice) I am getting ready to make the plunge to a digital SLR, I am thinking the Canon 40D. I also have a small pocket canon digital camera.

Canon AE-1 metal body with 5 different lenses which doesn't get too much use anymore, but have had it for over 30 years. Nikon Coolpix 4600, mostly for work. It's small and works OK. Canon Power Shot SX10 IS, 10MP, 20X Optical, 5X Digital Zoom. Oh yeah, a water soaked Panasonic DMC-FZ50 that is kind of ill at the moment.

I also have a Coolpix 750 but the blasted battery door tabs kept breaking and Nikon always wanted my first born to fix their problem so I stopped using it. (Hear that Nikon?) Nice camera, lousy battery door design. I have an older 35mm with telephoto that I loved but I've gone digital and haven't used it in years.

I still use 120 more than digital.
It's just getting harder and harder to find film.

yup, 35mm slide film is getting hard to find though i do see lots of 120 velvia out there. check amazon and ebay.

i like how the old 50iso velvia has doubled in price....more than doubled in some cases it is $12 for a 36 roll ;(

For 8k I can hire someone to go to the woods and paint me a nice scene while I stay home!:phone:
