I've been a lurker for some time and have decided to take the plunge.
My outdoors experience would be moderate to advanced. Grew up on a farm. Spent most of my life outside and/or in the woods. Used to live in Colorado and love the mountains, now in Florida.
In the woods I am more of a minimalist. I carry what I need, nothing more. Not afraid of hiking over the top of a mountain and down the other side during elk season with just my pack, map and a compass. Will go to Canada and get dropped from a float plane for a week just to fish. Anything just to be outside...
I know I will learn alot, I hope I can help some along the way.
