They work pretty good. I have used them out in the field to kill the rodents. We have one pasture that is in town, so no .22cal action. We lose a couple of cows a year due to broken legs. If we control the rodents, we normally don't lose any.
We just call it; "Plowing the field". :)

You get a dirt shower, but that is really about all (at least the few times it has happened to me).
