Those of us who are active Forum members clearly enjoy this site immensely. Membership is free, and the information (and the humor) exchanged is often priceless.

Nonetheless, a reality of life is that the Forum (Chris) relies on advertiser income to keep the Forum going and to support his family as well.

How do we say "Thanks?"

Does advertiser income increase if we click on the Google ads or other ads that appear on our screens? Do membership numbers affect Forum income? How can we show some membership support to keep the Forum going strong in the future?

I believe (could be wrong tho') that he gets a few cents for each "click through" on a link from this site.

At the risk of speaking for Chris...Each time you click on a Google ad the advertiser pays a set amount to Google. Chris receives a portion of that money. HOWEVER...don't go clicking on google adds thinking you'll do Chris a favor and make him a bunch of money. Google will drop him like a hot potato and probably ban him for life for doing it. They take a very dim view of that activity and they KNOW when it is happening.

Instead, if you see something that interests you and you want to know more about it click on the ad. If you see something you think you might buy, click on the ad but don't start hammering ads to try and help him.

I think he'll also tell you to enjoy the forum. That's what it's here for.......if I were speaking for Chris, that is.

....and I think he has stated previously that if anybody sends him a check, he will cash it.

Which, of course, goes for Crash and me, too. Big checks. We like really big checks. The bigger the better. That's what Crash always says.:thumbup1:

Yep - contrary to what you hear, size does matter.

Rick is exactly right, please don't click on the ads abusively, it amounts to stealing from the advertisers, and can cause me problems if Google thinks I've told people to do so.

If you guys are really wanting to help support the site, I could make a "support the site" shopping section listing a bunch of popular merchants whereby if you merely click the link before making a purchase (one you may have been wanting to make anyways) I'd get a cut. But that'd be different from the Google ads.

"support the site" shopping section

I would shop there first if we had one.

Put an on-line ammunition dealer that has inventory on hand.....I'll bet they'd see some business.
