Speaking of morels, me and a buddy of mine went looking for morel mushrooms today, and we got a plastic Walmart bag a little over half full. Personally I don't like mushrooms, but I just like to get out in the woods and look for them. I just give them all to my buddy.

I don't hunt for em (don't know enough to do it safely), but I sure love eating them.

i love them, hunt them, eat them and give them away. it's good to strike a balance.

i'm back up in oregon, it's time to hit the woods :D

I am looking forward to the big hunt. my wife and i are going upnorth by Cadillac Mich for good hunting grounds. Cant wait to taste these Mana..

Should not use a plastic bag. a berlap sack or netting is best. It allows you to spread the spoars around the woods as you look for more.....

I put them in the same league as the 1st one Ken posted. This one has tons of info, Ken's has some great recipes!:cool2:

i have been hunting them for a week now and have about 10lbs beer battered, partially fried and frozen. found an insanely good patch/area today but ran out of time. looking forward to tomorrow :tongue_smilie:
