My local second hand store just got a load of Coleman Exponent stoves in. Brand new but the boxes are beat up so they're selling them for about 20$ each. I see it sells for about 50-60$. Has anyone had experience with this stove? Thanks.

I'll let you know in a day or two. I have one on the way for home use. It's multi fuel so you can use Coleman fuel or gasolene.

Matthew - I've got 3 Coleman stoves - Big ole 2 burner propane, tiny little F1, and the Exponent Dual Fuel. I love em all. The Exponent Dual Fuel is almost identical to my old Coleman Peak One (no longer have that).

The Exponent equipment is developed by the old Peak-1 division that specialized in backpacking equipment. The equipment is good stuff.

I've got a Coleman dual fuel 533 that seams indestructable. I love it. I don't mind the extra weight compared to my lighter stoves. I will always choose this stove for my bob. I believe I'll be able to find fuel for it somewhere no matter what.

They are no good, don't buy them at all. Tell everybody else not to buy them either. What is the address for the store :-)

They do make a after market device so that you can use propane as a fuel. I have one and it has never failed me yet while I was out camping. I have the lamp post that hooks right to my big tank, and I can run two stoves at the same time.
