I haven't spent time in the wilderness/woods since I was in college 18 years ago. I've been focused on a boring career in Corporate America working for I don't know what. This is pretty easy and I want to get back in touch with nature as I did back in Pennsylvania.
I am originally from York, PA and graduated from Penn State where we had a lot of access to Mother Nature. I miss the canoeing trips and the hikes and the week long camping trips (with Old Milwaukee).
I am looking for guidance on classes/mentoring places to learn about living without all these niceties. This summer I am taking a wilderness class up in Chateaugay, NY (Wilderness Learning Center) and an advanced one and a winter course next year...
I am looking forward to your knowledge...dream to buy about 20+ acres in northern PA and build my own cabin.
