I've kept a few rolls of this stuff on hand, and it has come in handy on more than one occasion. It goes by several names, but Rescue Tape is the most common. I believe it is worthy of consideration for your kits, especially your car or boat kit. I did not buy any from this site, but it gives you an idea of what it is. http://www.rescuetape.com/?gclid=CO6Nnf6y05kCFRJ4xgodBnZ9vg

Cool stuff. I could wrap myself head to toe and never have to worry about getting wet, electrocuted or having a leak. Literally.

Yeah but at those prices it would cost ya a couple grand to do it. I use a strip of inner tube for leaks. I can get that free.

The stuff is cool tho.

Now I'm trying to figure out if he meant the tape was REALLY expensive or I'm just fat and it would take a lot. Could be both, I guess.

lol. I thought the same thing when I saw 2 rolls for $25. I still wouldn't mind having a couple rolls though, stuff seems as versativle as 550 cord or 100-mile an hour tape.

I get 4 rolls for $15 at a local gun show. I didn't look around for prices on the net, but obviously they vary.

It wouldn't stop you from leaking, just when you did it wouldn't get out... :innocent:

we have whats called tuck tape around here its red and used in the construction industry, 11 bucks for a roll but i have found more rolls on the job sites that either the guys will give you or half or quarter left for free, and works well in water just don't attach it to yourself or it will hurt

This tape is really great stuff. I keep a roll on my boat. Had to use it once when the washdown pump inlet hose burst and I could not get the silcock closed. My bilge was keeping up on the leak, but it saved the rest of the days fishing.
I should also get a roll for each vehicle.

Gotta be careful stopping all your leaks... toxins would build up pretty quick without leaking every once in a while. :P
