Just saw this on "You Tube". Bow Hunting Moose charge.

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bd3_1238377196

I have never had anything like this happen to me in the wilds . Biggest critter ever to charge me in the woods was a dog. I would imagine this fella was in for a change of boxers after this

He seemed a whole lot calmer than I would have been when it was over.

I bet he needs to change his shorts after that..There is another Moose video on U-tube that shows a mom and her calf during archery season. The mother walks right up to the hunter and pokes her nose against the arrow's broad head then walks away.

Uhhhh, that means I'd be the bait, huh? Remind me to stay away from you in the ocean or around hunting season. :death:

Ken, I used to spend lots of time at the dive shop. When a new student would come I would help get their mask,fins,etc..I would also tell them about using tooth paste to clean their mask's.But I would also tell them not to use mint flavored because it would attract sharks. Then I would lead them to the knife display..Ya dont have to outswim the shark just youre buddy..

Crash, thats the one I was talking about.

Anyone remember the kid who was going to throw ninja stars at a charging moose? Hope he sees that video before he decides to try it. And that had to be like the worst moose calling I've ever heard.

I remember him. Kind of like the kid that was going to punch and claw and put a world of hurt on an attacking bear. Yep, sometimes the gene pool needs to be thined a bit.

If anyone attempts "to punch and claw and put a world of hurt on an attacking bear." I'm pretty sure the the thinning has commensed!

If I remeber correctly (not really worth searching for) he said I'm going to be punching and clawing and put a world of hurt on him. He may kill me, but at least he'll know he was in a fight. I couldn't stop laughing long enough to post a reply.

Maybe all those wonderful posts could be copied into a sub forum. You could include bear fighters, ninjas, and zomb err pink fluffy bunny killers posts from days gone by. Sort of a "Worst advise ever" for those that need the guidance.

Good luck swinging that knife with any effectiveness in the water. You'd be better off dropping it and using your hands. Like any other licensed scuba instructor will tell you, that knife is for when you get tangled in something. It's not a weapon.

Alpine..I posted that as humor.I agree that swinging a knife underwater can be useless. Its much better to use a quick jab into youre buddy. That should give you enough of a head start on the shark.Again humor..

Dive kinves are great tools.I have a few and my most used has a blunt point.Strapped right on my BC.I have something against using a bag style dry suit and carrying a sharp pointed knife at the same time.Wet suit is a different story.I will carry both.

my bad. :blushing:

:thumbup1: how about helping me out with a few of those next time? I tend to read this site while doing a lot of other stuff so sometimes the subtleties go by like an F-16

Check that little box next to your login. That will extend the time without getting booted.
