I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge base with all of you here. I have hunted and fished since I could walk and learned about nature from my Papaw who taught me to find food and medicine in the woods.
I am a historical reenactor of the voyageur thru Civil War eras. I work as a naturalist in a city park where I teach inner city kids about nature and how to get along out there. I also teach adults how to forage and about wilderness medicines. Any more Hoosiers here?
Thanks for letting me join all of you.
BTW - the name is what it means, I am a broom maker. Learned it from my Papaw too.

Hi! Welcome!
I was stationed at Grissom AFB (now closed) in the early '80s; also, helped secure an A10 crash site in southern Indiana one time... so, been all over your state... by the way, if anyone knows an Edward Caffrey - he was a buddy stationed with me there, that lives(lived) somewhere in Southern Indiana, tell him I said hi.
Welcome to the board... sounds like you have a lot to contribute!

Good gawd! Sounds like an awful job. Kids and all. Do the kids actually like the class? Or is this a required class?

It is awful with all the kids, they spoil the silence.:) It is not a required class just school field trips. They do like the class though because I look like Santa a big guy with a white beard and hair.

Tennecedar,
I am glad to share what knowledge I have but not sure how to show you over the internet. There are broommakers all over the country who offer classes. Mine are here in Indianapolis and surrounding area.
