Hey all,

Ok im Dan 32 yr old from Scotland UK, a bit about me...

I travelled most of Europe when I was younger, I left home at 15 and just went exploring for four years... after that I ended up in the rat race, and worked in IT for 17 years... Now however ive remembered my true calling, ive packed in the job and im off to head out to south america this time around to live with local indiginous tribes.

Im currently studying photography and martial arts (Silat and Kali, oh and also Tao) , I have an interest in cultures around the world, and plan to visit as many as I can, while documenting my experiences.

I have to thank everyone on here who helped with a couple of questions, you lot are pretty friendly :-)

Cheers all

Dan

Somewhere in S. America a native is typing out a post on a forum.

"Right. And this bloke from Scotland is scheduled to arrive next week. We're parking the Range Rover by the guest house. He wants an "authentic" visit. I hope he doesn't expect me to eat a bloomin' monkey. I'm bloody well NOT doing that. And I'm probably going to be cranky as he** the whole time he's here. I'll have to go the whole week without one sip of my King Henry cognac!"

Hello and welcome. Good luck with your trip. Keep us updated as you are able. Working IT for 17 years? Man --- child labor laws must be lax. Welcome again.

Good luck with the trip. You will be living a dream. What tribes do you plan to make contact with? Are you fluent in Spanish?
