Recharge Regular Batteries

This gizmo is supposed to recharge regular batteries - not just the more expensive "rechargable" types. It's available through several web-venders, mostly in the U.K. If it works as described, it could save you big bucks. I'm not sure, but you may also require a 110 volt adapter to use it in the U.S.

I've read elsewhere that you can (not necessarily should) recharge alkaline batteries. I believe they still run the risk of splitting and leaking. If this works safely, it'll probably take off.

There are hacks on the net that will show you how to charge them. Just google it.
