Anybody out there have any experience with the Ruger Black Hawk .357 /
9mm convertible or the .45LC / .45acp I am thinking of getting one as a survival handgun. The .357 / 9mm would probably be best because you have 3 ammo choices but I would like to know if any one has any personal experience.

I have one in 38-40 with a 10mm cylinder and one in 38-40 with a .40 s&w cylinder. They both work fine, point of aim may be different for the different calibers.

Thanks Sarky
I think Im going to get one in a couple of months. It seems like a pretty good survival handgun

I really prefer my firearms to do more than one thing...good! I have an HK-4 that came with 4 barrels .22lr, .25acp, .32acp, .380. You just swap out barrels and mags for the center fires and make another adjustment to handle the rimfire. I also have a Beretta 96 in .40S&W which I purchased barrels in .357Sig and 9mm. I just swap out barrels and mags as necessary. My Ruger 10-22 and 10-22M both have their .17 caliber equivilant barrel availble for a caliber change. And lastly I have a TCR, Thomposn Center Rifle, yeah it's a single shot but with a bunch of barrels you can handle any task.
