Hi all,
Thanks for the forum, lots of interesting info here. I'm a casual Florida hiker, not even a camper, let alone a survivalist.
But I do like to go off trail and tromp through the woods. My wife has suggested I might want to bring a cell phone, just in case. That's as far as I'll probably go in terms of survival gear, but it's fun to learn about what you guys are doing, and who knows where that might lead.
I've recently started bringing a compass with me (as you can see I'm a big expert at this stuff!) and have enjoyed the extra level of freedom that provides. From that baby start, I can begin to appreciate the path you guys are on.
Looking forward to meeting everyone, and learning more.
