DOGMAN

Today I went to Bozeman (big city) to stock up on some supplies. Since I was in the shopping mood, I figured I'd stop by the Sportsman Warehouse and look around.
I ended up contributing to the economy (and my own deficit) by buying a knife I don't really need.
I bought a CRKT Crawford Falcon folder with partially serrated drop point blade. For only $19.95! To me that is really cheap for a knife. CRKT makes some pretty nice knives in my opinion- normally well thought out quality knives made for the field not the display case. Normally their products are mid-priced- not cheap. 20 bucks is dirt cheap for one of their knives.
Also, I'd heard of the Falcon design before and seen the fixed blade original version made by Pat Crawford, and I'd always admired them.
So, with no hesitation I made the snap decision to make an impulse buy.
Thus far I'm not disappointed, blade is very sharp out of the box, and looks like it'll keep an edge. The handle fits nicely in the hand, and the textured surface should not slip out of the hand when wet or bloody. Also, the action and locking mechanism work very smoothly and seem very sturdy....they do not operate or feel like a $20 knife.
Anyway, I am going to start using this knife as my daily carrier and put it through some tests. Hopefully, it'll withstand everything I throw at it, and then I'll write a review. Best case scenario- I can recommend a great knife that everyone can afford, worst case scenario- I am out 20 bucks, and confused as to why CRKT would offer something that would damage their reputation. Either way, I'll keep you posted
