I was reading an article on Wikipedia about Krazy glue and I started thinking, this has to be the most under looked item for a survival kit ever. I mean, you could use it to repair clothing, trap insects, build shelter, create tools and weapons, repair broken tools and weapons and many more things. It can also be used to close cuts, though it can irritate the skin. The greatest thing about it, if applied to materials made of cotton or wool, it can set the cotton item on fire. (The fumes are dangerous, this should only be done in a well ventilated area. 5% of the population can also become sensitive to the fumes and get flu like symptoms after repeated exposure.) So it could also be used to start a fire.

It is cheap, small containers are only a dollar and it is very small. How come it isn't more widely used?

Welcome to the forum RSG. How about gluing yourself to the Introduction thread and telling us a bit about yourself?

I use it around the house all of the time, for different things. As a matter of fact, I carry a tube of it in my cargo pocket in my pants. I keep a tube also in my first aid kit for small cuts and wounds.

Please explain???

I figured hey maybe this is one I never heard of :detective:, soooo, I took a old tee shirt made of 100% cotton and put the crazy glue on it...... Nothing, nada, zip.
So I had a wool sock with a hole in it (i was (past tense) going to sew it, because they do cost a lot more than regular socks, but, I had to see if this was true
:detective: I put the crazy glue on the expensive wool sock and WALA! nothing , nada, zip.... Now (present tense) it gives a good reason to buy a new pair.

I like to finish wooden knife handles with it among it's other uses. I seem to go with 2 part epoxy more now but still stock super glue.

They were afraid of him getting loose and hurting them? After he was super glued?! I'd be like whimpering and moving reeeeeeeeeeal slow.

Why? They would have only needed to use a teeny weenie (pun) drop. :innocent:
