This happened about 30 minutes from me,just above the bridge to Louisville,suspects still at large:

If they were smart, they woudl find the nearest police station and turn themselves in...otherwise I suspect they will be shot resisting arrest.

What gets me is,they are telling people to stay inside,and lock their doors,not to open them for anyone or any reason,however,they have not called off or delayed school in the affected area,and not said so far if the schools will be on lockdown.

UH...HELLO!?!? I don't even need to go into why that is such a phenomenally BAD idea!! ????? Keep the kids home! delay school!! Reverse 911 everyone, school superintendants too!! Desperate criminals can will and have taken advantage of situations like that!!!

Makes you wonder what they were up to in the first place. If they are captured alive and the officers survive, life in prison would be the only appropriate sentence. If either officer dies, I hope there's a strong death penalty statute in place.

They removed 2 bombs from one of the rooms at the motel,I believe this was a set up purely to take out officers who responded to a disturbance call at the motel,once the officers exited their vehicles,they were fired upon,one suspect stood in the middle of the road yelling that he had just shot 2 officers,he was wearing black clothing,and carrying a black bag,which is believed to contain weapons and ammo.

Yes,Indiana has the death penalty in place,and if caught,thats where they are headed I am sure.

Take a look at the mug shots of these two. Maybe its just me but when I see people with half closed eyelids I think, "This person is operating from their lower brain". Normal people never look like that. Mac

Local radio news is reporting that the suspect with the duffel bag,is believed to be carrying a pipe bomb,I pray they catch these guys soon,they were last seen with in 20 minutes of where I live.

Or handle it Philly style, "worst case of suicide you ever saw" . Having been in the field for so many years "rehabilitate the bad guy" part of my brain stopped functioning long ago. THey caught one of the guys involved,and another man earlier today,and then released those men when they passed polygraph tests that they only rented the room for the third man,Datillo.

At 10:30 this morning,they had Datillo surrounded in a home and tried unsuccessfully to talk him out peacefully from the home,he fatally shot himself at 9 pm this evening,hopefully the two officers will fully recover,and there is not going to be a long drawn out trial and years of feeding,clothing and providing medical care for Mr.Datillo.

Hopefully the officers will recover fully. Other than that, it sounds like a happy ending.
