Back packs and pouches

I found in Macon, Ga a gun shop that sold these backpacks, ammo pouches, first aid pouches and other pouches along with hydropacks for $2 to 35 dollars tops. The New camoflaged packs were $35, sm Alice $10 or $18 with frame. Is a this good deal?

From the description it doesn't sound like the shop is going to have a strong web presence. Just my suspicion though.

Without seeing the condition that the equipment is in, it is tough to say. If you have looked at it, and it apprears to be in good shape....also, you may see what you could buy the same stuff for on-line just to see if the price they're asking is a good one.

First there really isn't a small alice pack, there is a medium and a large. Either way if you get one get it with the frame and make sure the frame is in good shape. The alice system is a good starter rig, that is what my first kit was housed in. With this kind of pack material, check the whole pack for frays and give a good tug on all the seams to make sure you don't have one that is ready to let loose. Aside from that the price sounds great. good luck!

I picked up a pack a few months back. One of my sergeants got it for me at the PX he went to in NC. It cost $70.00 there and is what our men and women are beind sent to the sandbox with. It comes with a bladder and too many other cool things to list, but I think it's as close to ideal as you can get for a BOB.
