Does anyone know of a website that I can go to that has step by step instructions and pictures showing howto make a para cord lanyard? I would like to try making one or two but I need instructions on how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

There are quite a few threads on here where sites have been listed. This list should keep you busy for a while.

Here's what boredom while traveling, staying in a hotel and about 200 feet of para cord will get you in an evening.

It's amazing what traveling, no lap top computer, fed up with television and a little Scotch will do for you.

VT this is the site I found the most helpful when I first made one.

Real easy to follow step by step instructions with pics.

Anything by Stormdrane. The guy is amazing when it comes to paracord. Crash posted some of his links above.

I want to thank everyone who listed a website to help me. I really appreciate it. The response was a lot better than I expected, so I have a lot of looking and reading to do. Once again, thank's guy's.

I was just wondering, does this lanyard braid have any significant purposes or are they just for looking at?

There are several (many?) different braids or knots that can be used. For me, they combine function with art, or decoration. In the pic I posted, the short one is a bracelet and contains about 10 ft of cordage. The longer can be used as a carry strap, belt or rifle sling and contains over 100 ft of cordage. These knots untie very easily (not all do) should you need the cordage for another purpose.

Interesting, thanks.

Hopefully some of my videos can help with this; the lanyard pictured below is very simple and the two strand diamond knot and the paracord bead are videos I've done. The main "braid" is a simple crown sinnet that there are millions of youtube videos for.

At the lanyard end of your crown sinnet do you just cut off two of the leads? How do you secure them so the stitch won't come un-done?
