I live a couple of miles from a river. So on MLK Jr. day, I was out of school and work and bored out of my mind. So i decided to make my way down to the river. I am glad I did. I came across some very cool things on my way. I didn't have my camera at the time so I went back another day to take some pictures. Hope you all enjoy!

I live in the Granite Capitol of the World. I came across a place where it appears they tried mining some granite but I assume was no good. So the just left a "man-made cliff."

I have posted pictures of my backyard where there used to be some really old roads. I came across some places where they started building some roads, but never finished.

Old road

And a little bit more modern to make a bridge?

And Broad River. Keep in mind that we've been in a 10 year drought...

And getting back home is pretty easy.

I spent a summer in Dahlongea, and loved it. There are many cave's in that area. It is just a beautiful place.

I am pretty close to Toccoa Falls. I guess about an hour away. I have a friend that goes to the college where the actual falls are.

You really can't tell by the pic, but the falls is 186 feet.
