since i hadn't done anything particularly stupid in a while, i figured i was overdue.
i was shooting around at half draw with some practice arrows i made for my friend's kid, when i decided, for unknown reasons to take a full draw shot.

i'm lucky it tumbled, and that it split along the nock, or it would have gone right through my hand.

Just tell people it's a snake bite. Will an epoxy repair add too much weight to the end of the arrow?

i've got it in a glue-up with titebond II as we speak.
this is not a significant risk with allen's little bow, but i'm going to do a re-enforcement wrap with serving thread on these shafts before i give them to him anyway, now that there's already been a failure.
