It's a hoax. Somebody just stood up a dead caribou. Look at the hair on the right side of the animal. It's all matted down with ice frozen into it. The animal was laying on it right side before someone stood it up to take pictures of it. Also in the first picture there are a couple of human foot prints under the caribou's belly on wind swept snow where there should be no tracks at all.

I wonder how those got there?

Another thing. If you take notice. In the upper right of the second picture there is someone standing there giving a "one-finger-salute" to the camera.

Well, I've noticed throughout my life that when something dies it lays down or gets knocked down and then dies. I've been in temps close to -80 and all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and go to sleep. I would imagine that a caribou has a great deal more experience than I in cold weather.

Another thing I must point out is that is not a bull......it's a cow. The presents or absents of antlers does not differentiate between a bull or a cow. It is the size and shape of the antlers.

And those three bullet holes behind the left shoulder, make one wonder.......?

Gentlemen you are far more observant than I am. Hat is off to you guys. Easy to pick out us rookies from the hills.
