I mentioned an item in a post that I made yesterday and a couple of the guys replied and said that they had never heard of it. What I mentioned was is had anyone here ever used a Kelly Kettle? I asked it on the topic of making stoves that I was reading from.
You can check it out here http://www.kellykettle.com. My wife got me one for Christmas for us to use whenever we go camping this Spring. It has multi uses and is light as a feather. The website can explain it to you better than I can so please go there and read about them and check them out.
I have played with mine around the house and it is a really neat product. I will never be caught camping without mine.

I have one, never used it. Seen one used and it was unfreaking believable how fast it boiled water with duff.

The Kelly Kettle looks great. A similar, and according to some, superior product is the Thermette Kettle - www.thermette.com

Here is a comparison of the two:

Here is a video:

The Thermette holds more water and boils it in about the same amount of time. If I ever have the cash (neither is cheap) I would get the Thermette.

Thanks for the comparison. How about heading on over to the introduction section and tell us a bit about yourself. Thanks.

Thanks for the comparison.

I suppose, since the Thermette is copper that a home repair would be easier than the aluminum Kelly.

Can't repairs to copper be done with solder and heat?
