So hopeak was right, no shipping of any firearm is allowed by UPS or the USPS. So what other option would I have to get my guns here? I can't drive them through Canada, I can't mail them and I can't fly them. Any ideas?

you can ship them to a gun shop that is lic. and pick them up there or sell and buy new.

Yeah my family lives there, however to get them to do anything is an act of congress. Can't rely on my own family how sad is that. Guess I'll just buy a new one here and sell it before I leave.
I don't think it's too bad from one dealer to another Doug, now if you want to ship between the US and Canada--welcome to a universe of red tape.

It is not the red tape, it is the $50.00/$75.00 per firearm to ship. and the same fee to recieve by FFL dealer.
Soon all transfers, even Father to Son or brother to brother will go through Form #4473.
Dealer to dealer is not that hard, costly yes.
Yeah, I had no idea it was that costly. Well, that's why I, for one, have resorted to smuggling (whoops did I say that out loud? D'OH!)

LOL well I knew I should have just brought them with me when I drove up here. But like my wife said if I had then they would have searched us. We could have sent them with the movers but needed some ATF paperwork but didn't have time to get it. Now I'm stuck. I can't afford to take off work and fly home just to get my guns here. My family refuses to take them to a dealer since mailing them was not allowed. So I'll just have to buy another one. I think one day soon we won't even be able to own firearms.

Disassemble them and ship parts in seperate mailings.
Declare them as machinery parts.
I used to bring guns up on the ferry from Seattle, but that was many years ago.

We couldn't even get a spot on the ferry. And we tried 6 months out. I would have still needed all the ATF paperwork since it was going into Canadian waters. Oh well live and learn I guess. Gives me a chance and excuess to buy a 1911 like I want. :D
