I threw out a half bag of roasted in the shell peanuts to the birds and squirrels. They took off when I went out. The first back were the blue jays. Then the squirrels came back. The squirrels would take a nut and climb a tree to set on a branch and eat the peanut. The blue jays would fly close to the squirrel and if the squirrel drop the peanut the blue jay could get the nut before the squirrel could climb down. Then, the squirrels started finding the peanuts and burying them under the snow. I guess to hide them from the blue jays. It was entertaining.
