I use these #10 cans of peaches or pears, etc. and I throw the juice, (really corn syrup and water) away.

Where as I have to haul my water 1/4 mile from the creek, I wondered what if I save water, and use that pear or peach juice for pancakes, cornbread, soup, etc. well it works just fine. Even using it as an extender for vanilla flavored creamer.

Which brings up most canned vegetables have water. I'll try pancakes made with cut green bean juice........

We started to use the syrup/juice from canned fruit in pancakes while camping. Kids liked it so much we now always save the juice for pancakes even at home. My wife also uses it for sweet breads and cobbler.
