View Full Version : Going to the Ardennes
Hi,
I'm going to the Belgian Ardennes this summer for a week.
I want to take my standard equipment. Such as knife, flint, first aid kit, map and compass or just a GPS. A sleeping bag, a small tent.
But I've never been there before. Has anyone of you been there and do you have any advices?
I already have an appointment scheduled with a local expert in a few weeks, but I was just wondering what you guys think. :)

Hi,
I'm going to do some survival in the Belgian Ardennes this summer. I've never been there before. Do you have any advices on equipment and all that sort of stuff?
Thanks!
Tim
Since you're building your own "Survival Website" shouldn't you already know this stuff?:cool:
TDG, I'm not exactly sure what "some survival" is and I'm sure people could write books on what I don't know about the Belgian Ardennes. (Climate, geography, environment, wildlife, water sources,??????) My advice would be to ask someone from the Belgian Ardennes.

Yes of course, I think I didn't describe what my idea is :)
I'll edit my thread ;)
Sorry mates!

Co-worker's father has been there (101st Airborne - Battle of the Bulge). He said it was cold.

Sarge is correct, from looking at your "Survival" website, I think you have a lot to learn. On your site you're asking people to help you with information, that my friend is scary, let alone dangerous.
