Trying to organize items in my pack..

Where can I get some reasonably-priced fine mesh bags (about the size of a bread box) with drawstrings?

(In Canada, preferably)

Look in the camping aisle of Canadian Tire, or in the Le Baron catalog they have then in different sizes.

Yeah, they didn't have any see-through bags, unfortunately..

I have a good idea what will be in them, but even still I'd rather be able to see them..

Hmm..

These should serve..

I disagree, an onion bag is recommended by the ultralight backpackers (Yes I visit their forums, sue me). I realize an onion bag won't stand up to years of abuse, but it'll get you organized for a season.

True..

All I know is I can rip those things open with 2 fingers of one hand..

I'd want something a might stronger than that..

$3.10 for an automatic knife with free shipping, now thats cheap **************************** how about the
buck 110 auto? Do they still make that thing here in the states? I think they were being converted into autos out west. Nice
knife, these guys also have a copy of a Buck 110 auto.

Why have a Chinese copy (poor workmanship, dishonest quality control) when you can have the real deal http://www.bladeplay.com/cat--Buck-Knives-Auto--42

Dougz - I used to use the small bags that Sgtdraino is describing. Bought mine in the Navy Exchange, which I realize doesn't help you. Check out places that sell laundry supplies. They're intende for socks and undergarments when washing in bulk so they don't get all mixed up. If you can't find them, an alternative would be to get a regular laundry bag, cut it to size (probably get 6 or more from one bag), stitch it up, add a drawstring.

Yep, it's a spammer. If you search on the exact phrase, it shows up on other forums as well.

dougz, just type laundry bags into your browser, and you will find more bags than you could ever hope to use. There are millions out there just waiting for you.

I kinda wondered what a post about knives was doing in a thread about bags.. :)

I came up with some hits with the "laundry bag" search, and they're in Canada..

Thanks, fellas..

either Walmart or Kmart carries those bags. Why do you want mesh bags anyway???
If you need to see what is in the bag, you can use heavy duty ziplock bags it will also keep it waterproof. If you just want to identify the contents of the bag , use different colored bags for different items or sew a colored tag on the bag to identify the bag contents.

Yeah, I tried those, and use them for those items that are relatively flat and thin.

But I want something that will work for the bulky things..

And ziploc bags will tear more easily than will a good stretchy mesh bag..
