Hi Everyone,
Just a word of caution. Ebay.co.uk is selling lots of the 24Hr RatPacks. They have about 3000 Calories and contain lots of extras. They are going cheap -10 packs for £55-but be careful. They have been sold on by the British Army, and the rumours are that they might be surplus from Iraq. Due to the high temperatures over in Iraq the shelf life will be severly reduced, So anyone in UK -or elsewhere- think hard about buying these if you are going to store them.
The same might apply to other allied MRE's if available.

That's always a concern with any of the MRE type meals. I've have noticed this especially at gun shows. Individual MRE's that are clearly military the type and marked not for individual sale are being bought up a lot. I talked to one vendor that I trust and he told me it's just like any of the surplus being purchased....vendors buy it by the pallet and sell it.
