I saw plans for one - I'll see if I can find them. In the meantime, drag yourself out of the toilet and burn your way over to the introduction section and tell us about yourself. Thanks.

Here are some ideas that may help you.

Here’s a one made from a small coffee can. There is plenty of trash laying around and all you need is a knife.

For a folding stove – try an esbit. Here are two different styles.

Burning wood in any sized tent is a bad idea.

1. Burning any fuel makes poisonous CO or CO2 fumes. If you don't know what these are, you should not be burning fuel inside a tent. Doing it for a short time to cook food is one thing, but burning fuel in a tent all night is a dangerous experiment.

2. Modern tent fabrics are man made, and some are quite flammable.

Instead, wear layers of wool (not cotton) to dress warmly.

You just have to create some sort of funnel chimney

I'm sure he'll be using a duct chimney but yes, the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning is present.

This is a template for a great collapsable stove.
Makes it easy to transport on longs hikes.
Boils water in five minutes.
I wouldn't recomend it for use inside of a tent, but it should work fine if you're using natural shelter.
If this isn't what you're looking for, zenstoves.net (http://www.zenstoves.net)has a bunch of other stove templates

Good info Geronimo. How about cooking on over to the introduction section and tell us a bit about yourself. Thanks.

the firebucket stove system by jim wood. type jim wood base camp into google. it is not a gassifier, but after you cook, with decent ventilation, a small shelter will be a good 10 degrees warmer from the remaining coals for about 6 hours.

Three of us bout died in a tent at a huntin camp years ago.Twas a cold night in Tallahassee and one of the rocket scientists broke out a coleman heater to run for a short time then cut it off.All fell asleep in the coziness and luckily one had a full bladder and woke us up.With a bad headache I might add.Even tent screens can be blocked by dew and restrict the fresh air flow.Glad I woke up.

Carbon Monoxide is a well known killer in the cold north. Many a hunter or camper has slept his final sleep while warming the tent. You must be very careful and understand just why this is so.

Perhaps this can give you an idea for making a wood burning warming stove.
